No Clue!!

My life has been so completly boring in the last week or so that I have had no clue what to even blog about. Life has been going unusually well for me. I still at times wish that me and Dustin had never gotten together because I was the reason he moved here and now all I really want is the peacefulness of Ponca back. It’s not that Ponca isn’t still the same old town. It’s just that before I went back to Sykes I was being for forced to work with him. And I tried to get them to at least put me on a different shift then him. Even if it meant that I had to work early in the morning. But when they did switch my shift they ended up switching his too because of his current girlfriend working the old shift. It’s not as bad now because in someways I can just ignore his existence but also I can’t because he has taken to giving his new girlfriend my cell phone number so she has been texting me saying stupid crap like how she doesn’t understand why I broke up with him. I tried to warn her but truthfully I am getting really tired of being little miss nice girl. I’m tired of having to be nice when I don’t want to be. I hate that he won’t just go back to Enid and let me live my life and him live his. He can’t just ignore me like I have been trying to do to him. I know I broke his heart and made him cry but its not like I can take it back.

My friends tell me that the only reason all of this is happening is because back a couple months ago I said that I was bored. And that I needed some excitement in my life. But that instead of excitment I ended up getting drama. Which as everyone knows can look like excitment to some people but not to me. I hate drama. It’s the stupidest thing in the world.

Anyways, I’m glad that I got that off my chest. Not much else to say today.

More Saddness…

When I opened the newspaper I was really shocked, well shocked doesn’t even say it. I found out that one of the people that I went to job corps with that lived in my hometown died in a car accident on Saturday. Her name was Talia Harvey, she was only 18, other then just going to job corps with me she was also one of my very first roommates when I got there, in fact the first room that I got put into she was the only one that was nice to me. I mean we weren’t exactly friends but not enemies either. I think it’s weirder because she also worked at the same place as me, she was still in training so I didn’t really see her at work very much but me and her would take break or lunch together every once in a while. Its also really weird because this is the second person that worked at Sykes that has died in a car accident just since I started working there in April. The first one was a Manger named Chris Thomas, he was 30 and had 2 kids. But anyways, I just think it’s weird because both of the people who have recently died in car accidents, it has been there fault, Chris was going 120+ on a dirt road and flipped his car and died before anyone could find him because it was out in the middle of nowhere, and Talia ran out in front of another vechicle and got it ran right into the driver’s side and died at the scene, and sent another girl to the hospital in critical condition. Anyways, I just had to get that out there.

One killed in Kay county collision

Associated Press – July 20, 2008 1:15 PM ET

BLACKWELL, Okla. (AP) – An 18-year-old woman is dead following a collision in Kay County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the victim as Talia Harvey of Ponca City. The patrol says she was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Troopers say the crash occurred at 5:10 p.m. yesterday on U.S. Highway 177 two miles south of Blackwell. Harvey’s vehicle had stopped at a stop sign at an intersection but failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle, pulling into its path.

The second vehicle struck the victim’s car on the driver’s side door, and the victim was pinned in the wreckage for about an hour.

Rants about work…

So, I’m getting pretty close to getting too many “points” at work. What I mean is Sykes runs on a point system for schedule adherance, basically you get a point for each day that you call in, but it’s only 1 point if you call in conscutively for the same thing, you get half a point if you miss 4 hours or less, or if you are more then 10 minutes late coming back from lunch or getting there, or if you go over even one second on your 15 minute breaks, and you get 3 points for each no call, no show. Well you can only get 10 of these points before they fire you, and now your told all of these when you first start there but what they don’t tell you is that you will get pointed if you stay in something like research for more then 5 minutes every 2 hours, go into break more then twice in one day even if it’s not going over they amount you get. So by the time you add all of this up I pretty sure I have something along the lines of 7 points, and now that they won’t let you work overtime to get rid of the points like they used to the only way to get rid of them is to go 2 weeks without being pointed for anything and they drop off a half point or make it a year from the day you got it. Let’s just put it this way, most of the time I don’t even know when I was pointed for but I can contest them because I have before and they just come up with something like me being in research for too long even though I was still technically doing my job because I was figuring someones account out before I called them back, but they use it as a reason or that I was in callback mode and didn’t have a reason to be, please explain how they would know that since they aren’t the department who listens in on our calls. Oh, but on that subject when I first got on the floor I was making perfect quality scores and now I’m getting 75 and 76 which isn’t even passing, because they say I’m saying something wrong and giving me where I can look it up but when I do I can’t find what the hell there even talking about. At this moment I am contesting getting marked off for my closing on my past 2 qualities because I know that what I said isn’t wrong because I looked it up and it doesn’t say I can’t say it like that. Anyways, I just don’t know how much longer it will be before they fire me for points because of the way I raked them up the last couple of weeks without even meaning to. Anyways, I’m getting off.
